Sewerage pumps are widely used in chemical industry, agriculture, daily life and production. Sewerage pumps can be used for liquid transportation. The key problem for the selection of sewage pumps is reliability, because the medium to be transported is some solid materials. Mixed liquids, this problem makes the sewage pump in sealing, motor load-bearing capacity, bearing layout and selection requirements higher than the general pump, so in the selection, we must understand the reliability and load-bearing capacity of sewage pump. What are the precautions for the selection of sewage pumps?

1. Head: The head of sewage pump is determined after calculating the pipeline loss according to the lifting height. If the medium to be transported is a mixture of liquid containing certain solid medium (such as sediment), this problem makes the requirement of sewage pump in motor carrying capacity, bearing arrangement, pump body sealing higher than that of ordinary pump, generally speaking, Self-priming sewage pump or submersible sewage pump should be chosen. When choosing and ordering, be sure to know whether the sealing and carrying capacity of the sewage pump you choose are appropriate.

2. Flow rate: The flow rate of sewage pump should be selected according to the second flow rate of drainage (measuring unit: L/s); when there is drainage regulation, the flow rate can be selected according to the size of drainage (measuring unit: m/h).

Requirements for use occasions: sewage pumps used in buildings include submersible sewage pumps, submerged sewage pumps, vertical sewage pumps and horizontal sewage pumps. Vertical sewage pumps and horizontal sewage pumps require isolation foundation and occupy a certain space, so they are seldom used in buildings. In the building, if the site is small and the drainage is not large, diving sewage pump and underwater sewage pump can be preferred. When sewage with larger medium is extracted, the outlet pipes of submersible sewage pumps in different catchment pools should not be combined and discharged, and submersible sewage pumps should be equipped with crushing devices. When lifting sewage containing more fibers, diving sewage pump with cutting device or large passage can be used.

4. The selected model and performance meet the requirements of flow rate, head, pressure, temperature, cavitation flow rate and suction distance of the device, and must meet the requirements of medium characteristics.

1) For pumps transporting inflammable, explosive, toxic or precious media, reliable shaft seals or leak-free pumps are required, such as magnetic drive pumps, diaphragm pumps and shielding pumps.

2) For pumps transporting corrosive media, it is required that the convective parts should be made of corrosion-resistant materials, such as fluoroplastics pumps. If the corrosiveness is not strong, engineering plastics pumps can also be selected as appropriate.

3) For pumps transporting solid granular media, it is required to use corrosion-resistant and wear-resistant materials for convection parts, and to wash axle seals with clean liquid if necessary.
